Painting is almost an indispensable part of bathroom remodeling. The entire get up of your bathroom changes whenever you bring in new color to it. If you are planning to paint the bathroom in your own hands, search the net for some useful painting tips. You may also join some professional painting classes in order to smooth your amateur hands.
Tips for Bathroom Painting
- Before applying new paint, you should carefully check the walls of your bathroom. Get rid of damp areas. Call a professional to remove the molds as well.
- Decide on what kind of paint you would like to purchase. Research well before you choose one. Since you are purchasing paint for the part of the house that would often be exposed to damp, go for mold and mildew resistant paint.
- The color of your paint is also a determinant factor for the over all look of the bathroom. Choose the one that is best suited for the bathroom. Usually soft cool colors are preferred. But if you are living in a cold country cool colors like blue might make the bathroom appear more cold than otherwise. So be smart while choosing your bathroom
Watercolour painting for a beginner can be a bit difficult. It requires only the medium of water. It is a complicated painting technique to master — right from the amount of water to mix, to knowing when to stop. How the painting will eventually turn out is seldom predictable for amateur painters, as the appearance changes as paint dries up. So is watercolour painting a maze of calculations — guesswork and hoping the best turns out? The following tips should help throw some of the unpredictability out of the way.
Art Supplies Needed
To begin with, you need the right art supplies before you start painting. These include watercolour paper, brushes — the round, flat wash and oval wash brushes, stretching paper and primary colours – red (purple biased and orange biased), yellow (green biased and orange biased) and blue (purple biased and green biased).
Mixing these primary colours can produce virtually all the other shades you might need for your work. You also need cleaning materials such as sponge or paper towels and two containers — for clean water and for mixing. Eraser, drawing pencil and sketchbook are also handy.

Painting a room can easily freshen it up and give it a new look instantly, but many homeowners dread interior painting. If you know what to do and how to paint in the most efficient manner, painting the inside of your home is not that bad. Here are some basic interior painting tips and advice for your next painting project in your home.
- Don’t try to prep the area and paint it all in one day. You will only feel rushed and that can lead to a bad paint job. Instead, set aside a day when you can prep the space for painting. This can even be done a few days ahead if it is a room that is not used that much. The preparation day should include such things as taping the walls, laying down drop clothes, moving the furniture, and gathering all the painting supplies in the room.
- Never try to paint over damaged walls. Before you even try to paint a room, you should look over the walls and fix any cracks or holes there may be. You can easily fix cracks and
After watching some home makeovers, you would definitely notice that redefining the interior color of any residence gives it a fresh and comfortable look. Consequently, homeowners get the itch to do the same. Those who cannot hire professionals for the task, search for house painting tips which can get them carry on with the task by themselves. Do you want to give this a try as well? Learn from the following insights.
Cover Up – To start off, cover any fixtures attached on the walls or ceilings. Cabinets, wall or hanging lamps, light switches and faucets among others must be properly covered. This will keep them from getting unwanted paint drips.
Smoothen Your Walls – Scrutinize your walls for imperfections. They could have acquired holes, chips or cracks through time. Patch the holes and cracks. Even out the chips. You will need enough patching paste and putty knife to get this right.
Dust Off – This is key in painting a house. Painting over dust-filled walls causes premature cracking and peeling of dry paint. Thus, it is important to clean your walls, baseboards, ceilings and crown moldings. Use damp cloth in doing so. This will keep the dust from fluttering.
Choose The Right Paint
Before I give you house painting tips, let me say that if your last set-to with a paintbrush involved the use of those old-fashioned oil base paints, you’re in for a jolt. The new coatings that have arrived on the market go on like no paint you’ve ever handled before. They’re available in a range of colors varied enough to confuse an electronic brain (but not a housewife). What’s more they set new records for durability, washability and beauty.
Since you are after house painting tips, you’ve probably found out about the latex or alkyd paints that are on the market under quite a few different brand names. Most of these do an excellent job. However, when you buy paint don’t try to skimp on quality.
Foremost of my house painting tips is that for the most part this is one field where you get precisely what you pay for. Top quality paint put out by a reputable firm is not cheap.
While not one of my house painting tips, I have to say the strangest and, to a large extent, the most fantastic paint that has come along in a good many years is the new Lucite wallcoating. This stuff isn’t a
When you moved into your house, you may have been met with boring, white walls. What is worse is if you were blinded by horrific colors. When you need to make a change to the walls of your home, there are certain interior painting tips you will find useful. Likewise, after time, you may need a fresh house painting look on the exterior. Exterior painting is more difficult due to the height and scale factor, so it may be wise to hire professional painters. However, useful exterior residential painting tips are provided here as well.
First, prepare your room for interior painting. Remove the furniture, lay down a drop cloth, remove outlet covers, and have a step ladder handy for reaching the ceiling with your roller. When painting over already-painted walls, you will need to scuff sand it first to encourage the paint to stick to the surface. If you are unsure about the housing painting color you chose now that you are in the room, you can do test swatches on different areas of the wall to see how the light affects it. Leave it over night to let it dry and see it in all different kinds of light.
“We would like to see examples of your color work,” said the hand-written message on the postcard from an art director at a children’s book publishing house.
Uh-Oh. She had liked the black and white art samples I’d sent her, but she zeroed in on my weakness: The painting instruction I’d never quite gotten in college.
Now I had to work up some full color illustrations that demonstrated my painting bravura, or lack thereof. It was a long time ago and I’ll spare you the details about how I spent the weekend whipping up watercolors, doing the best I could with the little I knew. I could draw figures and scenes decently. But in my color and washes, there was always as many misses as hits. My painting efforts were all guesswork. Did it show?
I guess it did, because I didn’t hear from her again after I submitted my hastily assembled watercolors, or rather, photocopies of them.
I’ve learned a lot since then from painters, art directors and fellow illustrators, who were also, thank goodness, teachers at heart and generous.
The result is that I’ve learned that what I’d thought of as the scary part of illustration was not so scary or all that
Painting Tip 1. Buy top quality paint when you can. It will apply better, last longer and be so much easier to clean. Instead of painting every 5 years, you will only be painting every 10 years.
Painting Tip 2. Preparation… Preparation is the key to everything. This is where you want to pay the most attention and where you should be spending the most time with your project. Use quality fillers and give them plenty of time to dry and then spend the time for proper sanding. It will all pay off in the final look, especially where you are using gloss paints.
Painting Tip 3. Brushes and Rollers! Don’t skimp on the brushes and rollers that you are going to use. Cheap brushes and cheap roller covers, will you give you a cheap looking finish. Buy the best you can afford, and if you wash them properly, they will last you for many DIY painting jobs.
Painting Tip 4. Mold. If you have mold problems, which will normally happen in wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries. You will need to treat the walls of the room with a mold killer, or household bleach will do the trick too. Wipe down

The photographs that are created by an artist to impress upon the creative vision are called Fine Art Photographs. Fine art photography is very different from commercial photography and photojournalism.
Gradually, many photographers have started viewing fine art photography with a modern outlook. Light and stage are important to present day photography. Earlier, photographers used natural sources and ready to use stages, such as waterfalls, hills and other natural scenic beauties.
Framing and printing a photograph is another important factor in this kind of photography because it helps in improving the appearance of the photographs and thus betters the chance of selling. Highly glossy wall sized prints are used rather than small prints and glass is commonly used to portray the photographs instead of canvas.
Selling of fine art photography is not an easy task. The basic problem faced during selling this type of photography is fixing the price of the photographs. Economics plays an important role during the fixation of the price of a photograph. There are some other points which should be
Every photographer is looking for one thing: the “wow” factor. Capturing a photograph that is stunning and artistic in every angle is not an easy thing to do, since the definition of art and beauty differs with each individual. However, it can be done by following your instinct as an artist.
Try matching that with this set of portrait photography tips and see what happens.
In portrait photography, there are times where the effect of working against the rules is incredibly beautiful. It is sometimes good to be random and bold to be able to shoot that perfect picture.
In line with that, try to experiment with your composition. Basically, portraits are taken with the camera at eye level. Change the angle from which you are shooting and notice the change in perspective. Depending on the effect you want to achieve, you can position yourself over or lower your subject. From varying your vantage, you may see an even more interesting aspect of the object of focus.
The direction in which the eyes look at the camera greatly affects the effect of the portrait. Know that directly looking into the camera is not always the best way of shooting someone. Play with the eyes

A recent trend is for brides to avoid the costly expense of hiring a professional DJ and having an iPod playlist instead. However brides need to understand that it requires more planning than simply pressing play. Below are some useful tips on how to pull off the DIY iPod wedding reception.
The first thing you’re going to need is obviously an iPod or mp3 player. The second thing you’ll need to pull it off successfully is a laptop. It’s easier to switch between playlists on a laptop than it is on an iPod. It’s really important to use the right equipment.

Photography is one of the new media forms that changes perception and changes the structure of society. Photography tips are an art form that should not be squelched. It is also a large part of our modern news media and journalism. Taking a picture is first and foremost a machine made art, after all, and that is much of what we like about it. If the ceremonial splendor of paintings and statues made sense to the pilgrims and courtiers of old, the everyday expediency of photography rings true for our own lives now as consumers.

Should you have music at a very small, intimate church wedding ceremony?
Many couples planning a small wedding will choose to have no music at all. I can understand that, but it’s a shame.
Music is such a powerful way of expressing emotion. Your joy is no less just because the ceremony is small. I think you’d be losing something by foregoing music just because of the size of the wedding.
So how to best have music for small weddings?
There are two things you need to do to have effective, special and memorable music at a small wedding:
Create a more intimate sound:
Use less music. But use it in the right places!
Tips for a more intimate sound:
There are several ways to create a more intimate sound.
Get close to your musician (or get the musician close to you)
A piano might be just what you need
A piano is a wonderfully intimate instrument. If there’s a piano available (whether in the chapel or in the main part of the church), especially a grand or “baby grand”, consider using it as the primary instrument.
The organ can work too

5 Painting Tips You Need
Roller marks will show up on your paint project if you run the roller up and down with too much pressure, or too much paint on the roller. To avoid these lines, simply keep the amount of paint on the roller to a minimum. You should also paint in various directions rather than just an up and down motion.
Purchasing a higher quality paint may help reduce the number of applications you need to make. You can often save money by buying higher quality paint in the end, too. These paints are less likely to fade over time, are able to be washed clean and they are less likely to chip.
Are you attempting paint jobs that are a bit more intense and hard to do, like wall stenciling? If so, use only the right type of paint and brushes for application. Avoid applying too much paint to each stencil. Keeping the amount of paint applied to a minimum reduces the risk of bleeding and drips. You may want to practice applying these stencils on a piece of wood or other area first, to ensure that you have the technique down.
You do not have to have a steady
I am going to give you some quick music tips to get the party up and runnin’.
First thing is what is what type of crowd is going to be at your party? What kind of music do you think they like? Ask a few of your friends who are going to the party. There are many different types of crowds that like many different kinds of music. I have been to some parties where no one was feelin’ the music. And they all left. I felt sorry for the host, because you take all this time and effort and the music sucks. You definitely don’t want that. Sounds simple, but people mess it up all the time.
Secondly, what kind of gear are you going to bump your music on? Some of the best parties I have hosted were with DJs. I guarantee you have you said you had someone DJing your party people will come. If you know someone who can DJ that is a plus, but if you don’t then you can find one on Craigslist. There are DJs looking for gigs all the time. Don’t spend hundreds of dollars on a DJ. Unless it is a huge event
I love listening to other drummers, to hear where they’re coming from musically and what motivates their choices. I often share my observations with colleagues while shooting the breeze. My questions framing the conversation are always the same; “What makes this drummer great?” “What separates him from the rest of the pack?” “What drives his musical choices and instincts?” Recently, a bass player colleague paid me a compliment by telling me that I play “right on the beat; not ahead or behind.” I was elated, until I realized I didn’t know precisely what he meant. Musicians often evaluate the worth of drummers with phrases like, “Behind or ahead of the beat”, or “Great time and feel.” But what do these phrases really mean?
Just because I can’t translate these expressions into specifics, doesn’t mean that others are clueless. What it means, is that I think of these traits in different musical terms. I’d like to share these with my fellow drummers and instrumentalists. Here are 5 musical tips for achieving a great feel and groove.
Feel Trumps Time
Don’t worry about your overall time. Instead answer the question, “Does it feel right?” There are countless examples of musicians speeding up or slowing
Football games, kid’s parties, country fair, or Halloween… for sure you may find face painting a common sight. If you have kids, face painting is also a fun and creative way to enjoy your time together and make them happy. Indeed, kids love their faces to be painted with colorful designs and it would be one good way to make them happy as well.
If you want to master this skill and make your kids happy, or you want to make business out of it, here are some face painting tips that you might find helpful.
– Make sure you are using non-toxic face paints for your kids. You can find many types of face paints everywhere and one thing that you should check in getting face paints is to choose non-toxic ones.
– Before starting with the face painting, try your paint on a small area of the skin to make sure your kid is not allergic to it. This is indeed important especially that children’s skin can be sensitive. Even if the paint is non-toxic, it does not mean it is safe for sensitive skin. Non-toxic paints can also cause allergy to people who are prone to developing allergies fast.
